Crossroads Africa

July 28th, 2008

Even though this site is not yet finished, we are just so excited for its launch that we had to share it.

The purpose of the site is to organize the team members (it includes a member-only forum), share information, and provide updates on the progress of the trip.

Phil Hart

Hart for Legislature

This site is Unattended’s first venture into the world of politics. Idaho Representative Phil Hart needed a way to publish content, add endorsements and legislation, and communicate with his constituents. All of this needed to be housed in a clean, professional design.

Verbatim Services

Our Role.

  • Logo Design
  • Site Design
  • Content Management Integration (WordPress)
  • XHTML/CSS

Project Highlights.

One of our favorite designs ever created, this site perfectly blends great imagery (the butterfly logo), with texture and subtle illustration to create depth. The amount of detail that went into parts of this site made it a joy to create. It is powered by a content management system, so they can publish blog posts and updated content (including adding and deleting pages), without programming knowledge.

We hope you enjoy the site as much as we enjoyed designing it!

The Cornerstone

July 14th, 2008

Our Role.

  • Site Design
  • Content Planning and Consultation
  • XHTML/CSS
  • Content Management System Integration (WordPress)

Project Highlights.

On this project we created a website where non-technical users could easily publish articles and content for the rest of the Cornerstone community to read and discuss. It was also a great opportunity to place this content in an equally sophisticated design. Other features such as comments, spam protection, email, and allowing each article to be accompanied by an image (to make the site more visually interesting) turned this site into a complete solution for The Cornerstone Ministry.

Their Thoughts.

“Unattended Media was a pleasure to work with.  They listened to what I wanted, made suggestions, and designed an beautiful site that incorporated everything I wanted!  They were always quick to repond to my questions and tweak the site as I needed it.  I am very pleased with the end result and am a lifelong customer.”
- Jared Patchin – J. Alexander Fine Woodworking

Project Highlights.

This project was truly a lot of fun to work on. With excellent content combined with clean, sophisticated design we are very happy with the end result. Some noteable things that we integrated into the site are heavy use of the blog feature, and Twitter for keeping the site constantly updated.

When you visit the site, most likely you will see that it has been updated in some way within the last 24 hours, with some great communication tools built in.

The blog feature is also designed so that J. Alexander Woodworking can easily publish daily updates on their projects (with lots of photos!), so the client can keep tabs on the progress. We even have an example of a client noticing something they wanted to change about the project early on because of the blog updates and being able to get that changed before it was too late! Read about that here.

This site is the perfect example of using new web technology to better communicate with current and future customers.
